Programme Overview
The Technician Certificate in Community-Based Conservation is a program designed for field operations in various natural resources management sectors, including government, NGOs, local communities, private companies, and international agencies. It provides practical training in community conservation programs and protected areas.

General entry requirements
- Have successfully completed Basic Technician Certificate (NTA 4)
- Have successfully completed form six (6) with principal passes in non-religious subjects
- Have a good command of English language, both in speaking and writing
Specific entry requirements
- One principal pass and One Subsidiary in either of the following subjects: Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Computer, Nutrition, Advanced Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, History or English Language.
- Basic Technician Certificate in Community Based Conservation, Captive Wildlife Management and Taxidermy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Tourism, Tourism Management, Tourism, Tour Guiding Operations, Tourism Operations, Tourism Hunting, Tour Guiding, Beekeeping, Forestry, Tourism and Travel Operations, Tour Guiding & Tourism Safety, Tour Guiding & Tourism, Wildlife Management and Law Enforcement, Fisheries, Livestock Production, Agriculture Production, General Agriculture, Environment, Aquaculture Technology, Horticulture, Animal Health & Production, Zoology and other wildlife related field.
