The Basic Technician Certificate in Tour Guiding Operations is designed for tourism technicians working in various sectors, including NGOs, local communities, private companies, and international agencies. It provides knowledge, skills, and attitudes for guiding operations in protected areas, enabling graduates to work in both private and public sectors.

General entry requirements
- Have successfully completed form four (4) with passes in non-religious subjects
- Have a good command of English language, both in speaking and writing
Specific entry requirements
- Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) with a minimum of four (4) passes in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Mathematics, English Language, Literature in English, Food and Human Nutrition, Bookkeeping, Commerce, French Language, Chinese Language, Arabic Language, Computer and Information Studies and Agriculture.
OR
- Possession of National Vocational Training Award (N) III in Tour Guiding operations and Tour Guiding courses from institutions Accredited by Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA). Applicants applying using VTA III must have obtained two passes in Ordinary Secondary School Certificate.
