Pastor Magingi

Pastor Magingi holds a BA in Natural Resources Assessment and Management from The Open University of Tanzania. He has over 20 years’ experience working in natural resources management and land use planning in Tanzania. He has worked extensively with governments as well as NGOs, the Civil Society and the local communities in the area of sustainable wildlife conservation. Currently, he serves as a Country Coordinator of African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) in Tanzania, where he oversees implementation of programs that promote African conservation leadership, community-based natural resources management, conservation enterprises, conservancy development and addressing wildlife trafficking. Pastor has successfully participated in facilitating effective anti-poaching interventions and decision-making processes in various community-based fronts particularly in the Kenya-Tanzania Trans-boundary area.
